Quest=30646

“The Final Power”  This is a tough one for Dufit, so far. He’s got dead more than a few times trying to complete this quest. lol, about 8 times before I pulled the plug on his attempts for a breather! And that’s something like about 75 gold in repairs so far. What can we say? Cloth armor doesn’t hold up very well in times like these.

always go into battle on a full belly!

okay, one guy, no too bad

hmmm? he’s got a bit of health going on.

They say the trick is in using the spears against him.

During on attempt, Dufit actually managed to avoid the lightning long enough to get this guy down to 50% health. Even with the Crane’s wing buff, this is a tough one. That lightning gets ominous, going in both directions at times. And it does hit hard. VERY HARD!  And if you miss getting one of his spears….lots of damage as well.

Maybe a break will smooth things out. Maybe this guy will be tired a few hours from now. Maybe Dufit is going to die a lot more!!!

Dufit’s World, pt.2

Finally!

YES! After a bit of final Dark Soil farming last night, Dufit has managed to gain everyones’ friendship. Some of his last gifts included an orange tree, sheep, pigs and chickens. Everyone is doing well and the farm is producing fantastic crops daily.

Dog seems to enjoy all the new company.

Maybe 5 or 6 wandering about the farm.

Then there was this seemingly valuable gift of a Red Cricket, or so he thought. Dufits’ advisors over at the Undermine Journal suggested (several days ago) that the Cricket was worth an average of 10k across the board and around 8k in his world. At the time, there were two other offers up for bid hanging between 5 and 7k. Poor Dufit got no buyers on his 5.3k flat buy-out listing. 😦  I guess the probability of learning this pet and it turning out to be common instead of rare has made buyers skeptical.

Worth anything?

In the meantime, continuing serveitude for various factions are, well, continuing. 🙂 He’s reached revered status with the Golden Lotus, Klaxxi and Shado-Pan. Through some over-sight or crossed communications breech though, he is sorely lacking viable friendship with the August Celestrials. Upon discovery of this though, Dufit went into overdrive and managed to cover the “nobody-to-friendly” state of affairs in one swift round. He cannot be deceived though. He knows full well that they’ve got a long road to travel. His only stumbleing stone so far is his hesitation to enter the challengers ring at the Temple of the White Tiger. Hopefully, it’ll pass soon.

It’s been a good thing to be able to select some new enchanting and tailoring abilities, even thought the materials needed for some things are rather ‘hard-to-come-by’. The work ahead though sure makes those gold coins in his money bag a bit more shiney. If he wasn’t so attached to his coin bag, he could easily buy the next guild bank slot and barely feel the difference. So far though, he’s not parting with his coin without a fight. LOL!

Certainly not much to choose from.

We are given to understand that entry into the Brawlers’ Guild is by invitation only, through the Black Market AH purchase of an invitation or from a standing member within. Dufit hasn’t been to the Black Market AH lately. His last two visits provided only two items each time. Rather common items at outrageous prices! He wasn’t sure about the mail armored boots, but they didn’t appeal to him anyway. Anyway, time will tell. Maybe the BMAH will gain some stock to sell. Maybe he’ll get lucky with an invite. Unless the coin is in the bag, it’s all “maybe’s”.

Okay, time to go kill and gather more stuffs for everybody’s attention. Sheeze! Gotta pay them to favor a goblin.

Dufit’s Time-Out

A kinda-sorta unexpected maintenance this morning 😦

With at least two hours waiting time, Dufit has decided to share a few more thoughts about his adventures in Pandaria. That is, if the curiousity of comparing beaks subsides for a few moments.

Mine is bigger. No, Mine Is!

During our last visit with Dufit, he parted with the remark about fighting through those “loot-stealin’-scum-alliance” peeps. And, there have been some tedious moments with this issue along with some lol moments. Here’s a couple of shots for clarification:

Need a Tiger?

“I NEED a Wolf people!!!

Sheeze! Save a couple for me.

Doing dailys for the Golden Lotus, Klaxxi, or just about anyone else reminds Dufit of stories handed down from one of Aygaren’s old and wise Alliance friend. He’s a dusty old BM Hunter from an all out PvP realm. Stories from times long past referred to as the times of BC, Wrath and the warring Firelands. Back then, killing monsters meant watching your back for the “enemy” as well. The old hunter referred to those times as “bloody gankfests.” Such things as corpse and graveyard camping were quite common. Survival. Not only the key word every day, but a way of life all together.

Now then, Dufit has some comprehension of the on-going war against the Alliance. His tour of duty has taken him to numerous battlegrounds and fronts. But he sees his current world as a bit out of kilter. Most of these Pandarian factions hire him to kill things. No problem there. Most of the things he needs to kill have, shall we say, obstacles, in the way. Things that usually require killing before you get to your main targets your getting paid for. Okay, no problem there.

The problems start while removing the “obstacles.” Those alliance scum sneak in and steal the target stuff he needs to get paid while he’s stuck removing said obstacles. The old hunters advice was to go ahead and kill the thief as well. They deserved to die. Dufit’s problem? There seems to be some sort of backdoor agreement amidst the faction leaders that states he cannot attack an enemy thief unless they agree to do battle first. And of coarse, none of the thieves seem to be willing to fight. Oh well, those politicians sitting in their comfy capital thrones have strange ways for sure.

Dufit’s thoughts here seem simple enough. If you’re going to practice “loot-stealing,” which is what it comes down to, then at least have the guts to fight for it. “Carry your battleflag fools!” LOL! It’s not going to happen, but a Goblin can have a dream. Personally, I think the Goblin needs to be more devious about this. Maybe some suicide pulls? Aggro everything in sight on top of the thieves? Might work!

On the lighter side, his two new best friends over at Halfhill have generously provided him with a cat named Luna, and some sheep! The farm is very productive and becoming quite well known with the Tillers Union.

Luna the cat

Okay? Thinking of some names now?

Those panda folks often ask you to tell them a story, they love stories. And if you take the time, many of them will tell you some stories as well.

Tell me a story.

Okay, back to the drawing board. Maybe Uncle Gus can shed some light on things.

Tell me a story Uncle Gus.

Soooooooo, how are you spending your Friday time-out?
