Rest, Rares and Gathering

Taking a much needed rest.

Do you know which inn?

Ay did lay back for a bit of time, while Dufit managed a few more levels and pushed his enchanting skills upwards. They were slightly lean and short of level, lol. At 77 (or maybe it’s 78 now) Dufit wants to be minimally capped out before the arrival of Mists.

This time period in Azeroth is kind of lean itself. Yet, it is a perfect time to clean up many of those loose ends that have been laying around. Ay is doing just that. While making some preperations for the Panda invasion, he is working on his Bloody Rare and Frostbitten achievements.

The going was a bit slow for him though. I heard him muttering in that do-it-or-else tone, “NPCscan.” So I broke down finally and went shopping for him. With the sudden influx of rare kills the past two days (8 by my count), Ay’s general demeanor has improved greatly.

ok, this thing works!

Lovin’ it!

The elusive Highlord-found.

He had only a couple momenets of *Hurmphing* over his new toy. He was wise to the “fly yourself about, no taxi service now” idea. Really starting to save some money that way now. He did have one episode though while in Wyrmrest Temple and needing to seriously empty his bags, decided a quick flight to Dalaran would’nt hurt. WRONG!  Fifteen seconds into the flight, the scan goes off. Stuck now. No intermediate flight paths betweent the two to /camp on quickly. He had to finish the run and fly back. It turned out well though since no one seemed to be in Dragonblight anyway. He found his target not far outside the Temple.

Got Lucky!

The only other hang-up was during his hunt in Zul’ Drak. The scan went off and he could’nt figure out where the required rare was. No pathing was showing on the overlays for him. LOL! Turned out the rare was in IceCrown!! Of coarse, by the time he got there it was gone.

There are some additional benefits to this NPCscan useage. Part of Ay’s preperations include stockpiling raw ores, cloths and companion pets. The Northrend rares drop a sachel which includes a stack of cloth. Their handful of gold is nice to collect, as their BoE blue items. His mining skills have boosted the amounts of raw ores he’s saving. He does not pass up a node. AND, his archaeology has benefited as well. Several new rare finds are now tucked away. Nothing like combining all these usual tasks into one neat bundle.

So, that covers Ay’s projects, pretty much. Rares on two different worlds, archaeology, mining and cloth distribution. His only regret so far, is Anzu. He did manage to grind out the last of his skyguard rep today though, and pick up his second Mysterious Egg to hatch. So he’s fairly content. For the moment.

Love the new mount!

Must have matching pet! Right?

*Personal Note*

None of the above, or much else, would be possible if it were not for the men and women of our armed services whom have given so much for our freedoms.  “Thank you.” *hugs*

NPCscan is great isn’t it! Tell Ay that Anzu can take a really long time to decide to leave the halls with you!

Hey Tomb! yes, the scan is working wonders for Ay. I can’t believe I avoided it for so long.

I’ve told Ay about Anzu. He won’t listen to me. Says something about the earth spirits guiding him? Perhaps he’s just being stubborn in his ways and thinks his luck will be better. lol

Yay rares! Rare hunting can be addictive – be warned! 😀
And grats on your nice new mount and pet.

lol, yes they are! Aygaren is taking this time to make a profession out of it.

Thank you! It took a bit of time with the Skyguard, though it was eventually worth the effort. Rep mounts are just as fun to collect I think.

Still waiting on the Mysterious Egg to give one up. So far, just a White Tickbird has appeared. Maybe if I have Jaloot do the hatching, it might go quicker?

      Good to see you again!
